SMC Meeting & Lunch: Predatory Towing Practices & Prevention

Blair Cash and Martin Cain of Moseley Marcinak Law Group, LLP will discuss predatory towing incidents, a prevalent issue faced by many motor carriers in Georgia and nationwide. While most towing companies have honest business practices, the presentation will be designed to warn motor carriers about the outlier towing companies that take advantage of the ability to price gouge during vulnerable situations, particularly following an accident. The presentation will address what to look for in extortionist towing and cleanup invoices, how to combat unethical billing practices, how to reclaim possession of impounded equipment, and potential solutions to the problem of predatory towing.
